A few years ago, I found myself sitting quietly before the Lord, asking Him the question that had been stirring in my heart: “Who do You say that I am?” In that moment of stillness, He whispered back a single word that would change everything: “Mitwa.”
I didn’t know what it meant at first, but as I began to search, I discovered that Mitwa means beloved, friend, dear one. That revelation of being God’s beloved shifted the way I saw myself and the way I began to walk with Him. From that encounter, Mitwa Ministries was born.
Now, the Lord has placed a deep desire in my heart to see others step into that same freedom—to know their true identity, to hear His voice, and to walk in the fullness of who He created them to be. That’s why I offer faith-based coaching: a space for you to be encouraged, equipped, and reminded that you are dearly loved by the King of Kings.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Alisa Polkinghorne, and I’m so glad you’re here. My journey with Mitwa Ministries began in a quiet moment with the Lord when I asked Him a simple yet life-changing question: “Who do You say that I am?” In the stillness, He whispered back one word—“Mitwa.”
At first, I didn’t know what it meant, but as I searched, I discovered its meaning: beloved, friend, dear one. That revelation went straight to my heart. It was more than just a word—it was my identity. I realized that God was calling me to live not from striving or proving myself, but from being fully loved and fully His. That truth transformed my life.
Out of that encounter, Mitwa Ministries was birthed. It’s more than a ministry—it’s a movement of reminding people who they are in Christ: chosen, cherished, and beloved. Over the years, the Lord has placed a deep desire in my heart to see His sons and daughters rise into the fullness of who He created them to be, to hear His voice clearly, and to carry His presence into every part of their lives.
Through faith-based coaching and gatherings, I now create spaces for people to encounter God’s love in a fresh way, break free from lies and limitations, and step boldly into their Kingdom identity and calling. Whether it’s through one-on-one coaching, group sessions, or simple encouragement, my mission is to come alongside you, champion you, and remind you that you are dearly loved by the King of Kings.
My prayer is that through Mitwa Ministries, you don’t just learn about God’s love—you experience it for yourself, in a way that changes everything.
